I worked at Modern Tribe from 2017-2020. I should probably capture my career path somewhere here before I forget it.
I was learning to think like a developer back then. Things were happening fast in my brain. Many of them not code-related. During my final year there I was on team 5.
We were invincible.
Not really, but it felt that way. It was agency work, so all wasn’t perfect, but the team trusted each other. This was intentional. In fact, we purposely put ourselves into the work of creating communication charters and a team mission statement. I say “we” but every movement needs a leader and Nick had the vision to make it happen.
The net out was tremendous trust.
I need to write about: Teams and management, Team metaphors, and The end of the season.
